As a leading member of the far-right House Freedom Caucus, Rep. Andy Biggs has spent years advancing the MAGA agenda and feeding Donald Trump’s election lies. He voted against certifying Arizona’s 2020 presidential election results in Congress — and now, as the Republican nominee for governor, he refuses to say whether Gov. Katie Hobbs legitimately won her election in 2022.

In Michigan, John James’ campaign for governor has grown more radical and out of touch by the week. After refusing for weeks to concede his own 2020 U.S. Senate loss, James is now falsely claiming that Trump won Michigan three times — and attacking fellow Republicans for acknowledging that Trump lost the state in 2020.

And in Georgia, MAGA megadonor Rick Jackson is pouring an unprecedented amount of money into his campaign for governor. After insisting that the 2020 election was stolen and running attacks against Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in the primary for refusing to help Trump overturn the state’s election results, Jackson is launching an unprecedented $87 million advertising blitz to try and buy this seat.

If these Republicans still can’t tell the truth about elections that happened years ago, how can voters trust them to protect democracy today?
