"Trump's suggestion of deploying law enforcement officials to monitor polls raises specter of voting intimidation"
Friend,
Every day, Trump's threats -- and actions -- to suppress the vote become more and more alarming.
First yelling about non-existent voter fraud. Then raging against mail-in-ballots (except in Florida, where he votes by mail!) that are perfectly safe and secure. Then supporting his postmaster general in slowing down mail delivery. Now he's claiming he'll send law enforcement officers to monitor polling places, which he has no authority to do.
It all adds up to a voter suppression effort we haven't seen in decades. But the NDRC is fighting back. We're working with our affiliates to protect voting access, block GOP attempts to suppress the vote, and pressure the Senate to safeguard our elections. Can you help?

Friend, even if Trump doesn't manage to have law enforcement officers monitoring the polls, the Republican Party is planning to recruit 50,000 "poll watchers" in swing states. In the past, courts have found Republican "poll watching" efforts to amount to harassment and intimidation of voters of color.
So we have our work cut out for us. We're hoping this grassroots team can help us raise the resources we'll need to stop GOP voter suppression this fall. Protecting the 2020 elections is the first step to a fair redistricting process in 2021. Can you pitch in now?
