I’d like to tell you a story, but if you don’t have time, I’ll cut to the chase: Can you split a $5 donation between my campaign and End Citizens United to help us deliver for working families?

Growing up in Minnesota, my single mom and I relied on Section 8 housing, SNAP, and Medicaid to get by.

I still remember what it felt like to hand over that different-colored lunch ticket at school, or to watch my mom stretch $20 to the end of the month.

Back then, I didn’t realize that when my mom told me, “I already ate at work,” it actually meant there wasn’t enough food for both of us.

I’ll never forget what that feels like — and I won't forget who I’m fighting for.

Right now, the system feels rigged against working families. We are looking at the first generation of young people who could be worse off than their parents. To me, and to End Citizens United, that is unacceptable.

My Anishinaabe name means “Speaks with a Clear and Loud Voice Woman.” I’ve spent my career trying to live up to that name by loudly taking on the big fights to make life more affordable. If I’m privileged enough to be Minnesota’s next Senator, I want you to know one thing:

I’m not going to Washington by myself — we’re all going together.

But crypto bros, AIPAC, and dark money groups don’t want to let us disrupt the status quo. They are doing everything they can to defeat me.

They’re even spending $142,857 a DAY on ads attacking me and propping up my opponent. I’m not afraid, team. I’ve never backed down from a challenge before.

But I don’t say this lightly, team: If there’s ever been a time I could use your donation, it’s today.

I exist because of the generosity and the grit of my neighbors. Now, I’m humbly asking you for your help again. Will you chip in $5 or whatever you can today to help us unrig the system and win this fight?
