Dear friends,
In my eight years as a Nebraska State Senator, I fought hard for affordable health care and prescription drugs. I voted to expand Medicaid, spearheaded a bill to make insulin more affordable, and supported a public option, even when it didn’t make me any friends.
Little did we know that the COVID-19 pandemic was coming – and health care is now more important than ever.
This is my promise, now and forever: I will fight tooth and nail for the health of my constituents. (Are you with me? Rush a $15 donation →)
- Health means building a system where everyone has options for health care – even when their job or life changes.
- Health means treating mental health problems, like opioid addiction and PTSD, as true medical conditions that require treatment.
- Health means providing nurses, doctors, and essential workers with the equipment and funding they need to do their jobs safely.
- Health means standing with unions to ensure protections for people with preexisting conditions when they negotiate with billion-dollar employers.
- Health means refusing to take money from special interest groups and instead investing in everyday folks who deserve good health as part of the Good Life.
If you send me to Washington, you can trust that I will prioritize affordable health care and prescription drugs from day one. I am ready to take on this fight. So, will you help me get there?
I am your advocate in everything I do. That is a promise.
My best wishes to you, your family, and your community to stay safe and be well. Together,
Kate Bolz
