I got in this race because I grew frustrated by the overwhelming number of folks paying more for basic health insurance than their rent, cars, and even their mortgages. While big pharmaceutical companies continue to shake down everyday Americans trying to afford life-saving medication, Ron Wright, Donald Trump, and the entire Republican party collect their campaign contributions and look the other way.

North Texas must do better. So we came together, and we decided to fight back.

It’s been incredible watching this movement grow, from a few friends and family encouraging me to supporters all across the district — and across the country, sharing their stories, advocating for the change they want to see in Washington, and contributing in any way they can.

Thanks to grassroots donors like you, we were able to surpass our August fundraising goal last night. Together we’re going to show Ron Wright that Texans are ready to trade his tired extremism for real solutions and advocacy. Thank you for being a part of this team.

Together we’re going to get through this crisis and come out the other side even stronger. Because that’s what Texans do.
