SEE YOU IN SEPTEMBER THE MASKED & DANGEROUS POLITICIAN History is lined with dangerous masked men who sought to hide their sociopathic soul beneath the outward garb of righteousness. The best known comes from the pages of the Bible, history’s best-selling text. Recorded in Matthew chapter 23 is a scalding rebuke of those who pretended to be devout disciples of their creator. Jesus called these men who possessed elevated public positions by virtue of their false claims, walking dead men enveloped in false attire projecting the appearance of life. He called them “whitewashed tombs,” indicating their public persona was contrary to the condition of their soul. It was these men who, when asked if Rome might set Jesus free, persuaded the voters to cast their ballots for the freedom of Barabbas. Matthew 27:20 reads: Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus. Hence, the call for the crucifixion of Jesus by these voters (Jerusalem’s Jews) who were fooled by the Hebrew imposters dressed as bona fide devout and godly men. I thought of this because the American political landscape is littered with those who claim affinity with political and religious labels popular with the public but contrary to their true identity. Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter stands out because of his frequent claims to be a “born again Christian.” For Mr. Carter, it was a cloak which hid his personal belief that homosexuality and the LGBTQ agenda was also “Christian.” Hence, his federal Department of Education was staffed with more “LGBTQ types” (according to Reagan insiders) than any department in the federal government. In a recent television message, Attorney General Gentner Drummond tells us he is a devout Christian. The message reveals an awkward juxtapositioning of conflicting ideologies. In conflict with his television messages, Drummond advocates for policy positions in conflict with historic Western and American Christianity. In addition, he has endorsed a candidate (Robert Franklin) who stands against the integrity of Scripture and its role in the West. Yet, both claim to be devout Christ-followers. Writing about a half a century before the communist revolution (Lenin, 1917), Dostoevsky foresaw the collapse of Russian society because of its intellectual (and spiritual) lethargy. When, in London on May 10, 1983, Alexandr Solzhenitsyn delivered his Templeton speech. He reminded his Western audience of Dostoevsky’s warnings. Solzhenitsyn quoted what Dostoevsky wrote 100 years before: Dostoevsky warned that “great events could come upon us and catch us intellectually unprepared . . . revolution must necessarily begin with atheism.” Solzhenitsyn was indicating the link between the intellect and the spiritual soul of man. Further, he was pointing to the way in which the decline of each impacts the political landscape. Famously, it was in the Templeton speech that Solzhenitsyn stated three times that the political collapse of societies to brutish leadership finds its cause in one simple statement: "MEN HAVE FORGOTTEN GOD" It was with this phrase that Solzhenitsyn both opened his speech and also brought his comments in London to a close. If Oklahoma is going to find its way to a healthy and robust society, it will not be on the backs of those who wear fake labels and fight against the true foundations which both built Western Civilization and made America great. Last week, I wrote about the book (Separation of Church and Hate) being touted by education candidate, Robert Franklin (find the article here). It is a book that seeks (via scholastic incompetence) to completely and thoroughly eviscerate the text we all know as the inspired and inerrant word of God. The impact of Franklin's suggested book would remove all divine authority from the classroom, the political arena, and culture in general. If Oklahoma were to latch on to the ideas promoted in Franklin’s recommended book, divine revelation would be removed from the public arena yielding a godless man-centered culture for the Sooner state. Now, Gentner Drummond, our Attorney General has endorsed Franklin as the leader of Oklahoma’s academic affairs. We have two men promoting themselves as that which they are not. As Solzhenitsyn warned his London audience forty years ago: Western societies are losing more and more of their religious essence as they thoughtlessly yield up their younger generation to atheism. God keep us from the masked politician. Below, Dr. Everett Piper delves deeply into the issues. Because his very title indicates the advocacy (rather, the lack thereof) for a particular candidate, I want to emphasize that the OCPAC Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 which does not endorse candidates. We do educate the public regarding candidate policy so that you are able to make informed decisions regarding your involvement in the public arena. DR EVERETT PIPER from Sunday, AUGUST 2, 2026 STOP VOTING FOR “TRANS-REPUBLICANS” Note to reader - If you’re tempted to skip past this article because you think it’s not about you, you’re wrong. Remember the lesson of the canary in the coal mine: Poisonous gas is never localized. It is pervasive. It spreads. Another way to say it is that the old commercial “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” is a lie. What just killed the little bird in his small cage is very likely going to kill you and your neighbor if you don’t pay attention and reverse course immediately! SO, READER BEWARE! If a political charlatan like Gentner Drummond can get elected in a “red state” like Oklahoma, the next shoe to fall will be in your own backyard. WHO IS GENTNER DRUMMOND? In almost every way, he is the poster child of what we should be calling our nation’s “trans-Republican movement,” for this is a man who politically “identifies” as something he most assuredly is not. Here are just a few high (or low?) points of Mr. Drummond’s resume to prove the point. FIRST, Gentner Drummond has given thousands of dollars to numerous left-wing Democrats. Not only has Mr. Drummond given money to Joe Biden to defeat Donald Trump, but he has also supported efforts to unseat noted conservatives such as Senators Tom Coburn and Jim Inhofe, and Congressman Jim Bridenstine. ALL TOLD . . . The Federal Election Commission confirms that at least 11 different liberal Democrats have received financial support from Mr. Drummond over the years, including, but not limited to, one queer activist by the name of Chris Brecht to become an Oklahoma district judge. Second, in 2022, Gentner Drummond, upon becoming Attorney General of the State of Oklahoma, immediately made it a top priority to join with the ultra-liberal Freedom from Religion Foundation and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) to sue to deny the people of Oklahoma their right to choose a board-approved charter school for their children. WHY? Because the charter school in question happened to be named Saint Isidore’s and is Catholic. So much for the religious freedom of Oklahomans to choose a school that is consistent with their faith and values. Third, also after becoming Oklahoma’s Attorney General, Mr. Drummond rushed to further a highly questionable “environmentalist” lawsuit against the state’s poultry industry, which, according to Oklahoma’s Poultry Federation, runs the risk of putting thousands of small family farms and ranches out of business simply because these good people want to use the natural product of chicken manure to fertilize their fields. If you think that sounds counterintuitive to sound “environmentalism,” you’d be right. FOURTH, Gentner Drummond, despite hailing from one of the state’s most prominent ranching families, is not even endorsed by the state’s own Oklahoma Cattleman’s Association (OCA). In fact, the OCA has officially “rescinded and voided” a January 2025 political endorsement of Mr. Drummond for Governor of the State of Oklahoma because of its “significant concerns.” Such organizations do not do such things lightly and for no good reason. FIFTH, Oklahoma’s Blue Sky Bank, under Gentner Drummond's ownership and direction, bankrolls and funds the state’s out-of-control and insipid marijuana industry. It should be noted that Blue Sky Bank made this decision while other banks in the state chose not to do the same. This is not something Mr. Drummond was required to do. He could have chosen to do otherwise out of principle. But that assumes something that may not exist. SIXTH, Mr. Drummond is on record stating that he supports illegal aliens staying in Oklahoma if they obey the law (an oxymoron if there ever was one; can these guys not see the self-refuting nature of such claims?). SEVENTH, Gentner Drummond recently rushed to the microphone to endorse a candidate for Oklahoma’s Superintendent of Public Instruction who has publicly embraced the Critical Theory agenda of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Why would any conservative worth his salt do this? The list could go on and on. In addition to giving money to Joe Biden and aligning himself with radicals like the ACLU, Gentner Drummond recently chose a church of the same denomination as James Talarico as the location and backdrop of a campaign commercial supposedly highlighting his Christian faith. Keep in mind that Mr. Talarico is the man of “six different genders” and “God is nonbinary” fame. THERE'S A REASON . . . Democrats from across the state are lining up to support Gentner Drummond, while President Trump, Governor Sarah Huckabee, Congressman Josh Brecheen, state senators, representatives, and county commissioners are rallying around his opponent, Mike Mazzei. AND THE REASON IS PRETTY CLEAR: When Mr. Mazzei says he’s a conservative Republican, he’s telling the truth, when Gentner Drummond claims the same, he is not. Calling yourself something doesn’t make it so. Some people are no more real Republicans than Lia Thomas is a real woman. Why would any free people want to be governed by men who refuse to tell the truth about who they even are?
