Volunteer Today!

Dear Fellow Democrats,

The midterm elections don't start in November, they start today! Get involved to help take back our cities and country from politicians like Bredefeld and Trump. If you want a country that protects its citizens, supports the needy, and safeguards our rights, then this is where to start. There are plenty of opportunities throughout the week, and through November 3rd.

Canvassing

Join Fresno County Democrats to write informational postcards to voters. Postcards and scripts will be provided. Bring postcard stamps and a snack to share if you can.

Additional Volunteer Opportunities

Translators

Translators (Spanish, Punjabi) are needed to be on call during the weekend canvasses. The translator can either join us at the launch site or be on call offsite during a specified shift. When a canvasser encounters a voter who needs translation assistance, the canvasser will call you. You will go through the script with the voter and review the comments with the canvasser.

Cooling Car Drivers

Most of the days we canvass the temperature is around 100 degrees. We want to make sure that we adequately care for the canvassers. The driver will communicate with the canvassers throughout their shift to determine if they need any cooling supplies, more literature or more yard signs.

Supporter Housing

Many of our canvassers come from out of town (the Bay Area or the Central Coast), and it is an enticement for them if we can provide housing so that they don’t need to use a hotel. If you have a space that you are comfortable using for that purpose, one of our coordinators will follow up with you to determine the right fit for you.
