Trump Administration to Hold
"Peace to Prosperity"
Conference in Bahrain

Washington, D.C. | www.adc.org | July 11, 2019 - The Trump administration is set to hold a conference in Bahrain at the end of July to discuss a "peace process" for Palestine and Israel. The conference, called "Peace to Prosperity," will supposedly be a step toward ecomomic prosperity for both entities. The conference was proposed by Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner. It will discuss the future of Palestine's economy, with zero Palestinians invited. A main goal of the conference is to steer the conversation away from possible political solutions with the intent to be "less controversial." The Trump administration claims that economic investments and developments will bring prosperity to the region and, ultimately, for Palestinians. This claim ignores the human rights aspects of the Palestinian cause, focusing on money rather than the lives of people. While the subject of the conference is economic development for Palestinians, the main critique of this is the lack of Palestinian economic experts in attendance.

The confrence is subjected to harsh criticism by both entities especially Palestinians whom are firm belivers that the only requirement needed to establish regional prosperity is the end of the illegal occupation of Israel. The confrence is schedeuled to happen on July 29, 2019 at Manama, Bahrain and is considered another empty ploy of the current Adminstration to strengthen ties between the right wing governments of the U.S and Israel. The confrence which aims to establsh peace agreements with Israel and Palestine is condsidered a highly weak attempt to provide room for cooperation among both entities. ADC Stands firm against the idea that any form of regional prosperity cannot occur without an end to the illegal occupation of Israel.
