I got my start in public service as an advocate, helping to ensure that folks like my son, Ben — who was born with cerebral palsy — would have the same opportunities that all parents want for their children.

Now, with extremists like Donald Trump and RFK Jr. attacking key rights and protections for people with disabilities, that mission is more important than ever. They’re attempting to undo the progress we’ve made — slashing Medicaid and planning cuts to Social Security, disability grant programs, and affordable housing access.
