It’s fair to ask why this is important, particularly with so much going on. So, if you need a little more before you’ll sign on, give us a chance to explain.

Mark has spent his entire life in service to this country. From going to the Merchant Marine Academy, to commissioning as a Naval officer, flying attack aircraft in combat, becoming a test pilot, becoming an astronaut, launching into space four times, and commanding the space shuttle twice.

That alone is more than enough for any one person, but he didn’t stop there. As Trump rose to power, Mark stood up to answer the call again. He ran for Senate not once, but twice — and won both times.

The United States of America has asked a lot of Mark over the years, and he has never faltered. Not even when the President of the United States and the entire Executive Branch targeted Mark personally in an effort to stamp out his voice and silence millions of veterans.

But never, not once, did Mark face any of that alone. He has always had people backing him up, and that’s the most essential part of how he’s come this far. Mark couldn’t possibly do this on his own, and he needs exactly that kind of support right now.

That’s why your endorsement is so important. It speaks volumes about the kind of team Mark’s built — e pluribus unum. Out of many, one. We are all part of something far greater than any one of us.
