As the years went on, the trauma only grew deeper.
To survive, she turned to addiction - the only way to numb the pain. The only way to keep going.
She even had children with one of the men who trafficked her.
Another chain and reason it felt impossible to escape.
For years, she lived in fear. No way out. Until one day, she reached a breaking point.
With nothing but courage and fear in her heart, she ran, fleeing to a women’s shelter.
No plan. No safety.
Just hope that maybe someone would help her.
And that is when everything began to change.
Because someone did show up.
