This week, we held the kickoff call for Indivisible’s most ambitious
election protection program ever. Over 12,000 people registered for the
call, and double that number have already signed up to thwart Trump’s
plans to sabotage the midterms. 

More than twenty thousand Americans across all 50 states standing together
to protect our right to determine our own destinies; that’s an incredible
start this far out from the election. But we estimate we’re going to need
at least 100,000 volunteers trained and equipped to defeat Trump's next
coup attempt before, during, and after the election.

get access to trainings, alerts about threats to voting, action items
to prevent election sabotage, and info on rapid response mobilizations
if nonviolent mass responses are needed.

Protection 101 on August 19, and Election Protection 201 on August 26
(8pm ET/5pm PT). In this two-part virtual training series, we’ll
explore how to get out the vote, become a trusted messenger, prepare
for election defense scenarios, and get in formation for fall
activations. (The two sessions will build on each other, but it’s okay
if you can only attend one.)

It’s critical to get into election protection formation now -- not wait
until the final days or weeks before November 3. Trump has made it
exceedingly clear that he will use every possible mechanism -- legality be
damned -- to block free and democratic elections, undermine democracy, and
subvert the will of American voters. He raided the offices of the Fulton
County election hub and an Ohio voter registration nonprofit, orchestrated
the wave of gerrymandering that could eliminate as many as a dozen
Democratic seats, and tried to get rid of mail-in ballots -- and that’s
just the tip of the iceberg.

Just this week, the Senate confirmed election denier Jay Clayton to serve
as Director of National Intelligence, where he’ll carry forward Trump’s
obsession with misleading the public about the 2020 election as a pretext
for federal interference in 2026. 

Amid Trump’s manufactured chaos, fear, and uncertainty, it is up to us to
cut through the noise, respond to MAGA election sabotage, and make sure
all eligible voters can cast their ballots in November.
