Here's what I said the day I endorsed Ralph, and I meant every word:
"Ralph Norman is a tried and true conservative. He doesn't bend, he doesn't back down, and nothing can break him. He's been fighting against reckless spending, fighting against regulations, and fighting for every South Carolinian across the state in his term in Congress, and I am proud to endorse my friend today."
I've served alongside Ralph in the House. I've watched him vote his conscience even when it cost him. He has a 100% conservative voting record. There is nothing more any conservative voter in South Carolina could ask for.
This isn't a courtesy endorsement. South Carolina deserves a tried-and-true conservative who's already proven he'll fight for the people who put him there, not someone we hope grows into the job once he's in Washington.
Early voting begins in 4 days, and the primary is set for August 11. That's not much runway to build the kind of grassroots operation Ralph needs to win.
