No one wants oil out of our Great Lakes more than I do.
John,
The Great Lakes are part of who we are as Michiganders.
They provide drinking water to millions of people, support more than 1.5 million jobs, and hold generations of memories for families across our state.
Now, the federal government is arguing that Michigan should have no say over whether Enbridge can keep running 73-year-old dual oil pipelines through the Straits of Mackinac.
No one wants the oil out of the water more than I do. That’s why I’ll continue to take on this administration, a giant foreign oil company, and even the Canadian government to protect our lakes.
