Friend – On Wednesday, Anthony Fauci sat in front of my committee and pled the
Fifth Amendment 111 times.

Not just on gain-of-function research. Not just on the origins of COVID. He
wouldn't even tell us what day of the week it was or what color his tie was.

Let me be clear about something. Fauci received a full pardon from Joe Biden
covering a more than 10-year period, from 2014 to early 2025. If that pardon is
valid, he has no criminal exposure and no legitimate basis to invoke the Fifth.
He simply refused to answer to the American people.

I told him directly in that hearing: there will be repercussions for refusing
to testify after being directed to answer. I meant it.

I am introducing a resolution to hold Anthony Fauci in contempt of Congress.

For years, Fauci insisted he had "nothing to hide" and would cooperate fully
with oversight. On Wednesday, he showed the American people exactly what that
promise was worth.
