Hello — I did not want to send this email, but my team just told me a few moments ago that we missed our August fundraising goal. Falling short has serious consequences for our campaign, and I hope you can spare a few minutes to let me explain why this is so important.

You see, our campaign is funded by grassroots donations from folks like you — not corporate PACs or right-wing megadonors from Mitch McConnell’s rolodex who can write unlimited checks.

That’s been especially true since this pandemic began. None of us could have ever imagined a situation as difficult as the one we’re in right now — and our campaign was able to adapt thanks to your support.

Every dollar we raise helps us fight back against Republican attacks and expand our grassroots organizing program. That’s important because the last two polls of this election have the race in single digits.
