John xxxxxx, deciding to
run for this U.S. Senate seat wasn’t easy.
I had planned on serving North Carolina from here at home. That’s why I
was so humbled when North Carolinians twice elected me to be their
Governor.
But this Senate race is too consequential to sit out. The stakes are
simply too high.
I entered this race to fight for people like you, who’ve put your trust in
me — and I have full faith that together, we can win. But tonight, we’re
facing the biggest test yet of our grassroots movement’s strength: [ [link removed] ]With
time running out to reach our ambitious $1.5 million goal, I’m personally
asking you to help out by pitching in a $5 donation split
between our campaign and Wes Moore, right now.

I’m running because our nation cannot afford two more years of unchecked
Republican power in Washington. The attacks on health care, on democratic
values and even on Americans — they have to stop.
Our leaders should be focusing on strengthening our communities by
investing in public schools, securing health care access and prioritizing
hardworking folks over the wealthiest few. That’s what I strove to do in
North Carolina – and by the end of my time in office, we added thousands
of jobs by expanding the clean energy economy, gave public school teachers
statewide a much-needed raise, expanded Medicaid and more.
This is the work I’m ready to continue as the next Senator from North
Carolina. But that means we have to flip this seat from red to blue for
the first time in a generation and take back the Senate for the people who
elect us, which is easier said than done.
I’ve never lost a race, but this one will be the most competitive of my
career. It’s the best pick-up opportunity for Democrats this cycle, and
our ability to flip the Senate hinges on us succeeding.
A recent poll shows our lead narrowing to just four points — and as GOP
dark money floods our race, we can expect that margin to grow even
tighter.
That’s why far-right groups are already spending nearly $100 million so
far to attack me — and experts expect this to be the most expensive Senate
race ever, so they will spare no expense to help President Trump’s
hand-picked candidate buy his way to victory.
So if they see us missing goals like the one we set for tonight, they will
use this as an opportunity to strike. They will flood the airwaves with
millions more in attack ads to smear me, knowing that their investments
are working as intended, because we will not have enough funds to fight
back.
[ [link removed] ]Chipping in $5, $25 or whatever amount is right for you, split between
our campaign and Wes Moore before the end of the day won’t just help us
close the gap in time; it’ll prove to everyone that momentum is on our
side. So if you’re with us,
John xxxxxx, please make it clear by
making a donation right away.

If you made it this far, thank you so much for reading — and for all you
do to help me flip this battleground seat blue.
