John,
Scripture reminds us: "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:32)
Those words have always resonated with me because accountability and truth are the foundation of a free society. Without them, our democracy would be lost.
That's why watching our President continue to try and bulldoze the truth about the 2020 election has been beyond infuriating to witness. We know what happened: he lost. But instead of accepting that fact, he continues to undermine our faith in our elections — and far too many public servants have chosen to go along with those lies instead of standing up for the truth.
If we lose our commitment to facts, honesty, and accountability, we lose something much bigger than a political argument. We lose trust in our institutions, in one another, and in the democracy generations of Americans have fought to protect. That's why I've never been afraid to ask difficult questions or vote against nominees and policies that I believe won't faithfully uphold the Constitution and the rule of law.
Delaware didn't send me to Washington to tell people what they wanted to hear. You sent me to tell the truth and do what's right. That's why we have to take back the Senate to restore honesty and integrity back to Congress. We need a majority that will defend our democratic institutions, hold those in power accountable, and put the Constitution ahead of loyalty to any one person.
Now, as we approach the end of July, our campaign is working to reach our $10,000 end-of-month fundraising goal before midnight tonight. If you believe the truth is still worth fighting for, I hope you'll chip in today to help us keep doing this work. >> [link removed]
