This year, we at SAM celebrate recovery with the whole country by launching a new webpage Marijuana Addiction & Recovery: It's Time to Talk About It. Our message is simple: Although marijuana use disorder is real, recovery happens! Some key facts to share on social media: Despite popular myth, peer-reviewed research finds 30% of past year marijuana users met the criteria for a cannabis use disorder (Hasin, 2015). Marijuana addiction is real. But so is recovery. There are impacts we can’t ignore.
