Coal is Here to Stay 🚂

It was an honor to speak at the Coal Miners for Trump event at Port Amherst. Coal mining is the bedrock of West Virginia’s economy and I stand in support of our dedicated coal miners. 

The importance of this industry is just another reason why we must stop a Biden-Harris presidency. Biden’s energy plan, crafted by socialist Bernie Sanders, would cripple our economy at a time when countless Americans are already struggling. We cannot let this happen.

Hosting Honorable Visitors 🙌

Dr Birx had only good things to say about West Virginia’s handling of COVID-19 during her visit to the great Mountain State. I joined her together with Governor Jim Justice and a panel of experts to discuss our response going forward. 

On the agenda were my efforts to expand healthcare to rural areas as well as the importance of schools reopening. I strongly believe local jurisdictions should make this decision, not the federal government. We also had the honor of welcoming Vice President Mike Pence to West Virginia to discuss our efforts to combat the coronavirus and rebuild our economy .

Democrats go to Great Lengths to Undermine the Election 🗳️

The Democrats are clearly nervous about the impending election, judging by their constant attempts to stop in-person voting and push all mail-in ballots. Nancy Pelosi and company are pushing for billions of dollars to fund the U.S. postal service and also working to stop the Postmaster General from implementing important reforms for an agency that lost over $8 billion in 2019 alone. I voted against the H.R. 8015 bill which would harm the U.S. postal service, rather than help it become more efficient.

The Democrats are pushing a false theory that Republicans want to withhold funds in order to disable mail-in voting. This is just not true. Instead of taking on the real issues Americans are facing, Democrats are wasting your taxpayer money with purely partisan political bills that have no chance of passing the Senate.

Heroes on the Frontlines 👩‍⚕️
 
Registered nurse Amy Ford from Williamson, West Virginia brought our state great pride when she spoke at the Republican National Convention. She is the daughter of a nurse and a coal miner, who traveled to New York to treat COVID-19 patients. A true American patriot!
