#BetterDealForAnimals goose

Please ask your MP to support a #BetterDealForAnimals

It is vital that all animals are regarded as sentient, especially in the eyes of the law in order to afford them better protection. With just under 100 days to go until the end of the UK’s transition period for leaving the EU, please tweet your MP with one of our pre-made graphics to ask them to support legislation needed to ensure animal sentience is enshrined in UK law.

Greater Anglia take action to free pigeons trapped in netting and abandon planned cull

We recently reached out to Greater Anglia after being alerted to pigeons being trapped inside netting that had been fitted in Harwich International Station. During our communications it became clear that Greater Anglia also planned to cull these birds.  We are pleased to confirm that after explaining to Greater Anglia why culling is ineffective and cruel, they made the positive decision not to go ahead with this, and to free the pigeons from the netting. Has your MP signed EDM 291?

We’re very pleased that 88 MPs have signed EDM 291 which calls for a ban on warfare experiments on animals.  However, with more than 600 sitting MPs, we’d love more of them to sign up.

Please contact your MP and ask them to sign EDM 291. Thank you.
