Movies Under the Stars continues *tonight* (July 30) with Hoppers at Venue 1012.
Summer evenings are better with a movie outdoors. Follow Mabel as she hops into the animal world on a one-of-a-kind adventure that's perfect for audiences of all ages.
Gates open at 7 p.m. Enjoy pre-movie activities, including Windy City Mobile Fun's Mobile Game Truck and Build-A-Bot Experience. Food vendors will also be onsite for snacks and treats before the movie begins.

The Oswego Wall of History will also be on display at National Night Out, providing another opportunity to explore Oswego’s rich history and learn more about the people, places, and moments that have shaped the community.

Closing Out Oswego250
Oswego250 [ [link removed] ]
Close out the Oswego250 celebrations by finishing strong in the *Goosechase finale*! The final challenge, "Stars, Stripes and Patriotism", is the last chance to join the fun before it wraps up on Aug. 2. While the festivities are coming to an end, a few special features originally planned for the celebration are still making their way to the community.
The celebration continues at National Night Out on Aug. 4 at Prairie Point Park, where the *Oswego Wall of History* will be on display and visitors can check out a special *Liberty Grove* ceremony celebrating the newest addition to the park as part of Oswego250.
The Oswego250 celebration will also leave a lasting mark throughout the community. Residential developments installing new utilities in 2026 will feature manhole covers adorned with the Oswego250 logo, creating a permanent reminder of this historic milestone.
The final Oswego250 feature will take place on Aug. 13 at Village Hall with the screening of *"Oswego250: Home is Where the Stories Are"*, featuring a live Q&A with long-time Oswego residents sharing stories and memories that have helped shape Oswego. The event will also include an exhibit celebrating the history of the iconic *Oswego Drag Strip*.

Ready to put your accounting expertise to work serving a growing community? The Village of Oswego is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support the Finance Department and help maintain the Village's financial operations.
What You'll Do
As a key member of the Finance team, you'll:
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and financial accounts
• Prepare month-end and year-end financial entries and reports
• Assist with the annual audit, budget preparation and capital projects
• Track grants, fixed assets and investment activity
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or a related field (Accounting preferred)
• Minimum of three years of accounting experience
• CPA or CPFO and Tyler Munis experience preferred
