Republicans just crammed through another disastrous reconciliation bill that Democrats stood united against, but without a majority, our power is severely limited.
I'm Congressman Jason Crow, DCCC's battleground co-chair, and I want to tell you why this matters:
Without a majority in the U.S. House, we are counting on Republicans to break with Donald Trump on key votes to protect things like healthcare, Social Security, and even Democracy itself.
If there's one thing Trump's second term has taught us, it's that MAGA stays true to their partisan puppetmaster, no matter the cost to the folks at home.
Their previous budget bill gutted Medicaid and food assistance to pay for tax breaks for Billionaires. It was the largest transfer of wealth from the working class to the top 1% in American history.
This latest one is no better.
They're trying to use $100 billion in tax dollars to build vanity projects for Trump, finance voter suppression efforts, and fund his reckless war of choice in Iran.
Republicans keep telling working folks we can't afford to lower the cost of healthcare, food, and housing, yet think this is a good use of our money?
Hell no.
