Dear John,
As a videographer, I spend a lot of time documenting difficult situations. But occasionally, I get to witness something different, like the moment when someone’s life changes for the better. Meeting Minara was one of those moments. As many of us experience intense heatwaves, Minara and her family are living with other devastating consequences of a changing climate.
Since fleeing persecution in Myanmar eight years ago, Minara and her family have been living in Cox’s Bazar Camp in Bangladesh. When they first arrived, they experienced many hardships. Their shelter leaked and flooded during monsoons and cyclones, making life almost impossible. |
