Celebrate this Labor Day by telling Congress to listen to the people and support Medicare for All. More than 70% of Americans support the legislation — it’s time more members of Congress support it too.
Medicare for All

Friends,

For decades, the labor movement has been on the frontlines of the fight to guarantee health care as a human right. And thanks to that work, Medicare for All now has more union support than at almost any other time in history.

Dozens of unions representing more than 9 million workers have endorsed Medicare for All legislation in the House and Senate. Because they realize — like we do — that the best, and only, way to guarantee health care for workers is by winning Medicare for All.

We’re so proud of the historic levels of labor support for this legislation. And on this Labor Day, we believe Congress needs a reminder of how widespread, robust, and powerful our movement is.

Opponents of our work will stop at nothing to slow us down. But no amount of propaganda will change the fact that Medicare for All will guarantee health care to everyone.

  • Union members recognize that there would be no need for fights at the bargaining table over employer-provided health care;
  • Nurses recognize that, under this current system, their wages are being garnished by CEOs who are making billions in profits; and
  • A record number of people recognize that our country is spending more money per person than any other major nation in exchange for inadequate care.

You know it. I know it. We all know it. The U.S. health care system is broken. And only a select few are reaping the rewards. So on this Labor Day, let’s tell Congress that the only way to fix it is by enacting Medicare for All.

Thank you for everything, and thank you for being a constant ally in this fight.

Solidarity forever,

Jasmine Ruddy
