As a Vice Chair of the NRSC, I see things most Republicans don't.
I see the internal polling. I see the battleground maps. I see exactly where our ground operation is strong - and where it's dangerously thin.
So when POLITICO runs a headline like this, it doesn't surprise me. It just confirms what I've been staring at for weeks:

The simple fact is Democrats are more engaged, and as we come towards our FEC-mandated End-of-Month Deadline, our operation has gaps we cannot afford to carry into the next one.
