Five Strong Buy Stocks to Watch for Thursday, July 30

Wall Street heads into a heavy earnings day on July 30 with the Federal
Reserve's July 29 policy statement in the rearview and megacap technology
results still to come. Chair Kevin Warsh's June 17 FOMC left the fed funds
range at 3.50%-3.75% and said inflation risks had "eased substantially," and
CME Group's FedWatch tool continues to imply roughly an 80% probability of zero
cuts for the remainder of 2026. Against that steady-rates backdrop, sell-side
analysts used Wednesday, July 29 to press a broad slate of pure Buy upgrades
across autos, semiconductors, oilfield services, wholesale retail and managed
care. Here are five Strong Buy candidates worth watching on Thursday, July 30.

Ford Motor (F) — Citigroup Sees Autos Turning

Ford is one of the largest U.S. automakers with a portfolio spanning
full-size trucks, SUVs and its Model e electric-vehicle lineup, along with a
growing Ford Pro commercial business. On July 29, Citigroup analyst upgraded
Ford from Neutral to Buy with a $20 price target, arguing the earnings trough
is behind the business and that pricing, mix and Ford Pro margins can drive
multiple expansion into 2027. Piper Sandler's Alexander Potter reiterated
Overweight at $17 the same day, while TD Cowen's Itay Michaeli kept Hold at $15
and RBC Capital's Tom Narayan held Sector Perform at $15.

Shares traded at $15.55 on July 29, up 3.94% on the session, with a market
cap of $61.96 billion and a trailing P/E of 9.66 on EPS of $1.61. The 52-week
range is $10.68 to $17.78, placing Ford near cycle highs. The consensus rating
is Buy, with 5 of 15 tracked analysts bullish, an average price target of
$15.29, a median of $15, a high of $20 and a low of $11.

Risks: Tariff policy on Mexico- and Canada-built vehicles remains unresolved,
EV losses continue to weigh on segment margins, U.S. auto credit is tightening,
and Wells Fargo's Colin Langan continues to see downside risk to earnings.

Texas Instruments (TXN) — Arete Calls Out an Upcycle

Texas Instruments is the world's largest producer of analog and embedded
processing semiconductors, with meaningful capital-return capacity and a
multi-year in-house wafer fab expansion nearly complete. On July 29, Arete
Research analyst moved TXN from Neutral to Buy with a $405 price target, the
highest on the Street, calling out an emerging analog upcycle as industrial and
automotive customer inventories bottom. That constructive view sits alongside
Rosenblatt's Kevin Cassidy at Buy $350 on July 24, JPMorgan's Harlan Sur at
Overweight $340 on July 23 and Susquehanna's Christopher Rolland at Positive
$340 on July 21.

Shares traded at $276.74 on July 29, essentially flat at -0.12%, with a
market cap of $252.73 billion and a trailing P/E of 47.39 on EPS of $5.84. The
52-week range is $152.73 to $334.03. The consensus rating is Buy, with 12 of 20
tracked analysts bullish, an average target of $327.75, a median of $340, a
high of $400 and a low of $225.

Risks: Analog cycle timing has proven longer than bulls expected, capex
intensity remains elevated through 2026, competition from Chinese domestic
suppliers is a structural pressure, and Morgan Stanley's Joseph Moore stays
Underweight at $230 on continued gross-margin concerns.

Weatherford International (WFRD) — UBS Buys the Pullback

Weatherford International is a global oilfield services company with strong
positions in production, intervention, drilling and evaluation product lines,
and expanding digital-solutions revenue. On July 29, UBS analyst Josh
Silverstein upgraded WFRD from Neutral to Buy and lifted his price target to
$114 from $113, arguing that international upstream capex is stickier than U.S.
shale and that free-cash-flow conversion is improving. Barclays' David Anderson
reiterated Overweight at $151 on July 24, marking the high on the Street.

Shares traded at $83.60 on July 29, essentially flat, with a market cap of
$5.99 billion and a trailing P/E of 13.08 on EPS of $6.39. The 52-week range is
$52.70 to $113.15. The consensus rating is Strong Buy, with 5 of 6 tracked
analysts bullish, an average target of $121.17, a median of $116.50, a high of
$151 and a low of $107.

Risks: International rig counts remain sensitive to OPEC+ supply decisions,
U.S. shale activity has decelerated, integration and cost discipline are
ongoing tests, and Goldman Sachs' Atidrip Modak has maintained a Neutral rating
at $107 with a more measured view on service pricing.
