Survival is looking for someone new to join its Board of Trustees as our next Honorary Treasurer. Could that be you?

Dear Jack,
I became Survival International's Treasurer many years ago, and it has been an enormous honour to play a small part in this extraordinary movement.
It is almost impossible to single out individual campaigns. Survival's work alongside the Indigenous peoples of the Central Kalahari to defend their right to return to their ancestral lands particularly resonated with me, as did our campaign supporting the Dongria Kondh in India to prevent mining on their sacred mountain.

The Dongria Kondh fought an inspirational campaign to stop their sacred mountain being mined
But what has stood out most for me in my role as Treasurer is Survival's financial independence. Survival does not accept government funding, and instead relies on the generosity of its supporters. I have been incredibly proud and grateful to help steward that independence, which gives Survival the freedom and credibility to challenge governments and corporations alike, and to stand firmly alongside Indigenous peoples.
And then, of course, there are the people. Supporting the amazing staff and Trustees who have worked tirelessly over the years has brought me immense pleasure, lasting friendships and, above all, humility.
Now, it's time to pass on the baton.
We're looking for someone new to join Survival's Board of Trustees as our next Honorary Treasurer – someone with fresh ideas, new experience and the financial expertise to help guide Survival through its next chapter.
Could that be you? Or perhaps you know someone who should be part of this work?
This is a voluntary role for someone with significant senior financial experience who wants to put their skills to work for Indigenous rights. As Treasurer, you’ll help ensure that Survival remains financially strong, sustainable and independent so that we can continue to campaign fearlessly.
I'd be hugely grateful if you would share this opportunity with your friends, colleagues and networks. The right person might be someone you know.
You can find out more about the role and how to apply here. ([link removed])
It has been a privilege to be part of this movement, and I'm excited to see who will take up the baton next.
Thank you for your support of Survival.
