Friend, today—the day of our August fundraising deadline—also marks Day 18 of Mitch McConnell’s vacation from the U.S. Senate while a pandemic ravages our health, our economy, and pretty much all of society.

Things aren’t normal—and they haven’t been normal in months. And yet Mitch is acting like everything’s peachy. In his words, he doesn’t feel “urgency” to pass a relief bill.

As I travel Kentucky while our senator twiddles his thumbs, I can say these two things are true, beyond a doubt:

  1. Leaders don’t leave.
  2. A great team doesn’t let up until the job is done.

You’ve got all eyes on this state, Mitch on his heels, and his allies writing checks as fast as they can to hang on to this seat. Your tenacity, consistency, dedication and grit over the last 13 months have put us in a position to pull off an upset that some people thought was impossible.

When I’m your senator, I aspire to be worthy of you, and to fight for you every bit as hard as you’re fighting for a better future in this campaign.

With just a few hours left before our midnight deadline, we need to continue that fight—with everything we’ve got. If you can, chip in $3 or more right now and let’s finish August as strongly as we can.

This team humbles me—every single one of you.

Thank you,
Amy
