Last week’s Republican National Convention was tough to watch, team.

We saw the GOP rewrite Trump’s abysmal pandemic record, fail to present a platform for improving our nation, and antagonize those shaping a more equitable society—Black Lives Matter activists, journalists, teachers' unions, health care workers, and more.

The president, who continues to try to undermine our votes, dared to claim: "The only way they can take this election away from us is if this is a rigged election.” Throughout the convention, Republican leaders were woefully out of step with what this nation needs from its elected officials right now.

We need leaders who commit to containing COVID-19; who have real plans to help working people (not just big corporations); who understand the problems in our communities; who fight for equal rights for all and go to bat for better outcomes in Washington.

Take it from me: That’s Peter. Always has been. From supporting our local businesses, to protecting our mail-in ballots ahead of November, Peter’s record is clear: He won’t let Vermonters fall behind.

And while the vision we heard from the Republican Convention was bleak, we can defeat it if we keep strong, progressive voices like Peter’s in Congress. Can you chip in to help us get there?
