When they pushed her to vote for the GOP tax scam at the expense of working families, she did.

And when they pushed her to acquit Trump in his Senate impeachment trial for his brazen abuse of power, she did – saying that it was enough that he learned "a pretty big lesson." (Nearly seven months after the vote, it's painfully clear to everyone watching: Donald Trump has not learned a single thing.)

Time after time, Collins has made it clear. She will posture. She will pose. And then she will side with Trump and McConnell's dangerous agenda rather than stand up and do what's best for the American people – no matter the cost to the rest of us.
