2020 Gold Mountain Scholars
Since 1999, UPS has generously funded the OCA - UPS® Gold Mountain Scholarship. The title of this scholarship program calls back to a time when many Asian immigrants looked upon America as a mountain of golden opportunities for themselves and their families. Awardees of the scholarship seek dreams of higher education, which are not only the dreams of the students but also of their parents and extended family.

This year we provided $2,000 scholarships to 15 Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) high school seniors who are the first in their family to attend an institution of higher education. Meet our 2020 Gold Mountain Scholars here ([link removed]) !
Here's what our Policy team worked on in August:
* OCA-GH created an AAPI-specific bystander intervention Train-the-Trainer program
* We released a press release on the DOJ/Yale Affirmative Action case
* Working to create local versions of our hate crimes task force bill
