Friend,

When I ran for Congress in 2018, our campaign looked a lot different. We could host large events with supporters, and go door-to-door to talk to voters about my campaign. People throughout PA-07 said they had never seen a campaign with as much volunteer and grassroots energy as we had.

But everything is different this year, not that I needed to tell you that. Because of COVID-19, we won’t be knocking on doors, and we won't be doing in-person campaign rallies. Unfortunately, that means that the messaging we do through television, radio, print media, and direct mail has to be frequent, very persuasive and skillfully done to engage the voters.

A few things haven’t changed. I’m still laser-focused on solving problems for the hardworking people of the Lehigh Valley, and for all Americans. I will never back down from my principles of fighting for social justice and economic equality. And I still refuse to take a dime of corporate PAC money, because I think it's important for the voters to know that I will only be accountable to them.

Once again, I’m counting on you, friend.

My campaign has a fundraising deadline tonight at midnight. If we don’t reach our goal, we won’t be able to effectively talk to voters about the work I’m doing in Congress, and fight back against my opponent’s and GOP Super PAC’s attacks. Tonight’s deadline is especially pressing because many voters will start receiving their ballots in just two weeks.

Our country is facing unprecedented crises, and we need to have strong leadership that is focused on lifting up the marginalized and fighting for our values as we rebuild. I decided to run for Congress two years ago because I believe that together, we can make progress to solve the problems facing our country: a rapidly changing climate, systemic racism, income inequality, crippling healthcare costs. I still believe that we can come together and make progress towards a better future for ourselves, our children, and our grandchildren, and that’s why I’m running for a second term.

Friend, today I’m personally asking, could you make a contribution to my campaign before midnight tonight?

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m so grateful to have you on the team.
