Democrat,
Today, Governor Murphy announced that restaurants statewide will be able to open for indoor dining at 25% capacity with social distancing guidelines in place, beginning this Friday September 4th.

Governor Murphy also increased the capacity limits [[link removed]] of certain indoor gatherings, including religious services and celebrations, weddings, funerals, memorial services, and political activities, to the lesser of either 25 percent capacity or 150 individuals. Movie theaters and other indoor performance venues can reopen this Friday [[link removed]] as well, with the same precautions and capacity limits in place.
Thanks to Governor Murphy’s data-driven approach to reopening -- and the progress we’ve made towards curbing COVID-19 together -- we can be sure that we can safely enjoy these indoor activities while following the best public health precautions.
As we head into the holiday weekend, let’s all keep working together to follow social distancing guidelines so that we can continue to reopen our state as safely as possible. We look forward to seeing you inside and outside restaurants, movie theaters, and other indoor gatherings in the coming weeks (socially-distanced of course)!
