On this Labor Day, I am reminded that the strength of America is dependent on the health of our middle class.
Those Americans who work hard every day and every night, who believe our future is worth fighting for, THESE are the people that make this country great.
Today we celebrate the grit and determination of America's workers and their families, and renew our commitment to ensuring the rights and opportunities they deserve.
Good jobs are about more than a paycheck. They are about the ability to take care of our families and our neighbors. They allow us to think positively about our collective future.
Join me today and take a few brief moments to express our gratitude to our American workers, our friends and neighbors, past, present, and future. Happy Labor Day.
