Hey there!
We’re
so excited about our first-ever slate of endorsed candidates -- 21 amazing women who will work for a more progressive future for Georgia. (Check out the whole list below!)
We can’t wait to see the work they do once in office, but here’s the thing: If they’re going to win their elections, they need YOU with them, too.
If you’re able, can you commit to a donation to OAD right now? Anything you give will help support these candidates so they can get to work on the issues that really matter to our communities. Click here to chip in.
Women and people of color are still underrepresented across Georgia, and Our American Dreams is committed to doing the work to change that. We’re building a Georgia that will work for
all of us, together.
Thanks,
Our American Dreams

Subject: Announcing Our American Dreams
Friends,
Since 2016, women across the country have stepped up to run for office, ready to get to work to create change in their communities.
I was one of them. I ran for Lieutenant Governor alongside Stacey Abrams in 2018, and then for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate earlier this year.
But I’ve also seen that here in Georgia, though our politics are shifting and this state is slowly but surely turning blue, women and minority candidates are not making the inroads into elected office that we need in order to make policy changes that can finally undo the systems of oppression keeping marginalized communities from achieving the American Dream.
More women than ever now serve in our legislature, making up 30% of our General Assembly. But we accounted for 52% of the 2018 electorate. Georgia’s minority population is similarly underrepresented in our government.
The only way that women and minority communities can finally have a shot at their own American Dream -- at full participation in our society and undoing the lingering legacies of racism and sexism in every facet of life -- is by ensuring that they have the chance to lead.
We need more women in office. We need more Black, Latinx, Native, and Asian leaders in office. We need more LGBTQ women, immigrant women, businesswomen, and women entrepreneurs in office. It’s time for a Georgia that fully recognizes that Black Lives Matter and that women’s rights are human rights. It’s time for change.
That’s why, today, I’m so proud to announce my next project to lead Georgia to a more progressive, more inclusive future:
Our American Dreams PAC.
This PAC will support women and minority candidates up and down the ballot here in Georgia and lift up the new leaders of the rising American electorate. With your support, together we can not only elect these incredible leaders, but also make a difference in flipping Georgia blue this year.
I’m so excited about our very first slate of 21 OAD-endorsed candidates. They are mothers, immigrants, entrepreneurs, and labor leaders, and we can’t wait to get to work alongside them.
