Yesterday, Donald Trump came to Michigan and told us, “Michigan is thriving”.
Michiganders know better…
While Trump was on stage spreading lies, families across our state are stretching every dollar to cover gas, groceries, rent, and healthcare. This reality is all thanks to Trump and his Republican allies.
Trump's agenda slashed Michiganders' healthcare to hand out tax breaks to billionaires. His cost-raising tariffs are still driving up prices on everything, from groceries to car parts. His out-of-control Iran War has put our service members in danger.
John James, Mike Rogers, Tom Barrett, and Matt Hall have been right there with him, cheering every step of the way.
Yesterday's speech was a rambling attempt to downplay his record. But no amount of spinning the truth changes what Michigan families are living through every single day.
On Friday, we close the books on our end-of-month fundraising deadline. When those numbers go public, Republicans across the country will be watching to see if Michigan Democrats have what it takes to fight back. I know that we do. But we need to prove it.
