The Immortals: Dwight D. Eisenhower – Part 2

By Newt Gingrich

Eisenhower is unquestionably one of history’s great leaders. Indeed, few people are more deserving of a monument, in part because of his extraordinary leadership during World War II — the subject of this week’s episode of my podcast “Newt’s World.”

In Part Two of a three-part series on Eisenhower’s life, I tell the story of Eisenhower’s military career from D-Day on, detailing some of the most consequential episodes in our nation’s history.

It is truly remarkable how much Eisenhower had to manage as a five-star general during the largest, most destructive war ever to take place.

He of course had to master military tactics and strategy, overseeing the entire Allied war effort in Europe. But Eisenhower also had to be a psychologist, as he worked with some difficult, arrogant people who required particular approaches in dealing with them. Most notably, Eisenhower navigated the rivalry between General George Patton and British Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery, two brilliant commanders who constantly tried to outdo one another.

Of course, Eisenhower’s military career didn’t end with accepting Nazi Germany’s unconditional surrender in May 1945. He continued to serve in a number of capacities — interrupted by a stint as president of Columbia University — before campaigning for president.

I hope you will listen to this week’s episode to learn about how Eisenhower helped lead the Allies to victory in World War II. Anyone interested in politics, leadership, psychology, and of course military affairs will discover powerful lessons from Eisenhower’s story.

Biden: The Ineffective Statesman

By Aaron Kliegman

Joe Biden claims his experience in foreign policy is an asset. In reality, it may be one of Biden’s biggest weaknesses. Anecdotes of tough talking dictators and becoming friends with democratic leaders sound nice, but when they’re proven to be ineffective, they’re just empty stories. Combine that with plain old bad decision making, and you get someone who absolutely should not be commander in chief.

Trump and the American Future

Order Now : Trump and the American Future: Solving the Great Problems of Our Time

Everything is changing.

From the spread of the coronavirus, to the highs and lows of the economy, and on to the election, 2020 will continue this process of change.

We don’t know yet which way the American people will go, but we can describe what is at stake as the radical democratic left continues to go all out to destroy President Trump and his followers. This wild period of change has been intensified by the virulent spread of COVID-19, but its roots go back to the summer of 2015.

This book puts this kaleidoscope of change into context and outlines the choices Americans face in what may be the most decisive election of our lifetimes. No presidential contest since 1860 has presented the American people with a decision more definitive than the 2020 election offers. It is the radical democratic left vs President Trump.

To understand what is at stake, and what must be done, read this book and share it with your friends and neighbors.
