NHYD Weekly Newsletter: Back to School Edition
We can't underscore enough the power of the student vote here in New Hampshire! The student vote has carried candidates up and down the ballot to victory by slim field margins-- (think the size of your freshman class or a gen. ed. lecture hall, etc.) -- and there's no doubt that could happen again in 2020. Every vote counts, and the student vote can single-handedly swing NH. Keep reading for student events and opportunities, and check out our latest blog post on college students voting in New Hampshire!
64 Days to Victory

Student-to-Student Textbank Mondays!
6:00 - 7:00 PM
|
Motivation Monday: Even if you or a friend don't think politics impacts you directly, politics undoubtedly impacts a person you love. Reflect on what impacts you and the people you love, and sign up to volunteer to elect leaders who will protect your rights and needs.
Student-to-Student Textbanking with OrganizeNH: Talking to your friends, classmates, and roommates about this upcoming election is absolutely critical. Join this event to learn how to use the Organize NH friend-to-friend outreach app, how to talk to your networks about politics, and how to help get Democrats elected in 2020.
Can't make it on Mondays? There are additional textbanking opportunities on Wednesdays and Thursdays, too!
|
Turn up your phone volume Tuesday & phonebank!
6:00 - 8:00 PM
|
Tomorrow: Student Phonebank with OrganizeNH
Upgrade from the textbank warm-up to calling voters and talking with them, live over the phone! There's nothing like a good, organic conversation with a fellow voter; you never know what stories or opinions you'll hear from folks around the state. This is a great opportunity to share with a fellow voter what is motivating you to vote blue this year, and hear their concerns, questions, and experiences they may have to share. Phonebanking helps us connect with our neighbors, and connect with our community.

Young Folks for Biden: New Hampshire Virtual Bus Tour
w/ Senator Kirsten Gillibrand!
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM (RSVP)
|
Join students and other young voters from New Hampshire for a virtual Bus Tour stop in Durham with special guest, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand! Senator Gillibrand will take questions from students about all things current events and national and local politics - ask her anything!
Senator Gillibrand is a true champion for women's rights and reproductive health. In the wake of Sununu's veto of HB 685 this year, which restricts women's access to healthcare, consider asking Senator Gillibrand how we can continue to ensure that NH women have the autonomy and choice when it comes to their personal healthcare decisions.
Once you sign up, you'll receive the question submission form for the Q+A with the Senator and other special guests.
