John,

We know you get a lot of emails, so we wanted to make sure this message from Preet Bharara didn't get lost in your inbox.

We're so honored to have Preet (and his kids!) with us in this race, but we simply can't win without grassroots supporters like you.

Thanks to you, we've already met Preet's challenge to raise an additional $2,300! But we can't let up now.

John, can you commit to a grassroots donation of $5 or more today? We'll only win this top-tier race with you on our side.

Every donation of $3, $5, or $22.44 (our average online grassroots donation!) adds up -- and when more people donate, we can take on anyone, including Mike Garcia's corporate PAC and D.C. lobbyist donors.

Here's a link to give: [link removed]

Thanks,

Team Christy

Subject: Donald Trump may have fired me. But my work continues.

Hi there,

My name might sound familiar, but if you can't quite remember why, I'm a former federal prosecutor for the Southern District of New York -- the one Donald Trump fired in 2017.

Since then, I've spent a lot of time working to elect Democrats up and down the ballot, because I know that the only way we come back from this presidential administration is by defeating Trump and building a strong bench of Democrats in the House and Senate.

This month, my sons challenged me to donate $500 each day to one of their favorite congressional candidates. Christy Smith was on that list, and I donated earlier this month. I'm proud to do my part to help flip CA-25 back to blue.

Now I have a challenge for you: Can you help raise another $2,300 to match my donation? See, I promised Christy that while I couldn't personally contribute the maximum amount ($2,800) to her campaign, I'd find a way to raise the rest to help her win.

So, will you meet my challenge? Pitch in $5 or whatever you can to help hit that $2,800 I know we can raise together.

Here's the thing: Christy's opponent takes donations from D.C. lobbyists and can reach out to dozens each day for a maximum donation of $2,800. Christy won't do that -- she believes that leaders should be sent to Congress by their constituents, not special interests.

She's proud that hers is a campaign backed by grassroots supporters whose average online donation is just $22.44.

If we can prove that we can raise a max-out donation with just a single email, think about how powerful that message is. It's proof that a grassroots campaign can compete with the special interests.

If you're able, please pitch in $5 -- or $22.44! -- to Christy's campaign today. Let's raise that $2,800 and send a message about the power of grassroots support.

Thank you. Together, we can hold the House majority.

Christy Smith is a community leader from CA-25 who has fought for her neighbors in Ventura and LA county on the school board and in the California state legislature. Now she needs our help to defeat Mike Garcia and flip this top pick-up House seat blue in November. Help elect a champion for our health care, our schools, and our rights.
