Dear John,
Wow! I was blown away by the fantastic response to my urgent email last week. Thanks to kind people like you, in less than 24 hours we reached our £2000 pledge target!
With this amount secured in pledges we can now enter The Big Give Christmas Challenge.. and be in with a chance of raising £8000 for a world-first investigation into the murky aquarium trade. We aim to expose the horrors of how sharks, octopuses, rays, fish and other marine animals are taken from the wild to stock aquarium tanks.
Thank you!
This Challenge takes place from 1st - 8th December and donations made online to us over those days could be DOUBLED by the Big Give, who provide matched funding. This is such a fantastic time to give and means we can raise even more for this crucial investigation to protect animals.
Animals like this octopus who was taken from their ocean home. Octopuses are caught by 'supply' companies who sell them to aquariums for profit. These incredible animals endure horrific journeys with long hours in cramped boxes or plastic bags, as they are shipped across the world. All to be on display in a tank for a year or two at most before they die.
Well with your help we will be starting a campaign to END this barbaric trade and protect animals and the amazing habitats they live in.
We will keep you posted on how you can get involved in the next exciting stage of the Big Give Christmas Challenge! For now, thank you for everything you do for animals.
