Help Elizabeth elect more Greens in upcoming by-elections. Dear Friend, As we enter the first month of the third quarter, Canada and much of the world are on fire. Spain, France, northern Ontario, and BC. While families scramble, villages are emptying out, and politicians promise help that never comes. And yet, the PM and premiers announce more pipelines, more LNG in vulnerable, sensitive areas like NB's Tantramar Marsh and the Fraser River's Tilbury Island. Even worse, at the premiers' meeting, the Prime Minister announced the promised 100% renewable electricity grid would not be so green after all. They will be keeping fossil fuels and, of course, more nukes. It is hard not to feel a bit discouraged. But in the next month we have our best chance to win more seats in advance of the 2029 election. ALL HANDS ON DECK! Three by-elections have been called for August 31. PLEASE plan on joining the local teams of volunteers. I will be in North Vancouver a lot to help Shelley Luce. And in Beaches-East York for Bruce Livesey! Both are awesome future MPs. We can change Canadian politics for good. And I mean for the GOOD of us all! Let Carney know that when he turns his back on the climate crisis, there are no "safe" Liberal seats.
