We have a plan to stop Trump from stealing the election. And we have a generous funder who will match any grassroots donation to make the plan happen.
First, Trump wants to block people from voting. He's trying to sabotage the Post Office. He's even suing to eliminate ballot drop-off boxes that states like Oregon have used non-controversially for years!
Then, Trump wants to challenge the legitimacy of our election. He will allege "fraud" no matter what. If counting ballots takes days or weeks, he may send armed militias to intimidate vote counters.
We have a plan to stop Trump's undermining of democracy. We're working with top congressional leaders on election protection legislation. But we also have a plan B: lobbying in key battleground states to preemptively block Trump from messing with the election results.
We're making huge progress. We can't share all the details here because Republican leaders read these emails too, but we're in a race against the clock and there is a lot more work to do.
Trump also wants as few polling stations as possible -- and he's willing to take advantage of senior citizens being vulnerable to COVID to provoke a crisis in election volunteers. That's why we are also partnering with Power The Polls to sign up as many election volunteers as possible. Not just on November 3, but before and after.
