End the Big Business of Burning. Demand corporations stop forest fires.

Right now, the largest remaining forested areas on the planet are burning. From the Amazon to Indonesia, Big Ag is driving widespread deforestation. Companies are clear-cutting forests to produce the ingredients that appear in products that line grocery store shelves.
Big businesses promised to end deforestation in their supply chains by 2020. As we approach the end of the year, they will fail to meet their own deadline as forests across the world burn. These companies and the powerful investors behind them are responsible for worsening the climate crisis.
Outrage is not enough. It’s time to protect the rainforests and stop deforestation. John, will you take action to stop corporate greed from polluting our planet and destroying our rainforests?
Demand companies deliver on their commitment to end deforestation.
As you read this, the Amazon is being destroyed by the worst fires in a decade. Last year in Indonesia over one million people suffered from acute respiratory infections from forest fires. In normal circumstances, the noxious haze from burning rainforests is a public health crisis. Amidst the COVID pandemic, it’s a public health catastrophe.
These fires are no accident. They are being intentionally set to clear land as quickly as possible and make way for agribusiness plantations, endangering Indigenous Peoples and local communities and destroying the planet in the process.
Demand Big Business stop deforestation. Stop the fires, put an end to the burning!
The fires in some of the last standing rainforests around the world are intentional -- and preventable!
Ten years ago, the largest consumer companies in the world made a commitment to end deforestation by 2020. They will fail to meet their deadline. It’s time to hold the companies and their investors responsible for planetary destruction! Call on BlackRock, Procter & Gamble, Mars, Nestlé, and other giant corporations to do the right thing!
