That means that through the hard work of our supporters, we’ve already changed the trends of this historically-Republican district with our message of finally delivering real change to Georgia families. It means that our mission of fighting for affordable health care and ending Georgia’s shameful history of voter suppression is resonating with our district.
In short, we are the campaign in alignment with Georgia values.
And that’s important, friend, because that’s what we’re fighting for: Georgia values and the families who live here.
We work hard, pay our bills, and do our best to make sure our children have a bright future. We want to make sure that our schools are safe, that our doctor’s appointments won't bankrupt us, and that, when we’re at the kitchen table at night, figuring out the bills after the kids have gone to bed, we’re in a position to make it through the next month with some money to spare.
That’s what Georgia’s working families deserve, friend. But this pandemic has exposed just how out-of-reach even these simple things are -- and just how willing corrupt politicians are to exploit these injustices for political gain.
From Brian Kemp and his cronies suppressing the right to vote by mail in the middle of a pandemic, to my opponent Rich McCormick’s touting of conspiracy theories about the virus, it’s clear that we need new leadership across this state -- leadership that will champion our families, not the special interests working against them.
I’m ready to be that leader.
And I need you with me to ensure we deliver the change Georgians are calling for.
