Islamist Slams Car into Berlin Pride Festival, Gay Community Rallies Around Muslims
German police shot and killed a member of the “religion of peace” after an intensive manhunt; he had slammed a van into a Pride festival and exited the vehicle with a machete to stab people. One person was killed and 29 injured. He was a known wolf, of course. Wall Street Journal: Ballout had been detained in Lebanon and extradited to Germany before being convicted of a crime in Berlin in May, the person familiar with the investigation said. Ballout was only handed a suspended prison sentence after his May conviction, a decision prosecutors had appealed, German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt told journalists in Berlin. “We are dealing with a suspect that stood out because of the large number of offenses he committed, because of his radicalization, and through his membership in the Islamist scene,” Dobrindt said, without spelling out the charges Ballout faced. “These many crimes and this radicalization led to a conviction and to a one-year and 10-months prison sentence that was suspended,” he added. (Wall Street Journal.) Organizers of the event called on everybody to beware of Islamophobia. (X.)

DNC Mortgaged Its Headquarters as Collateral for Loan
The Democratic National Committee is so short on funds that it mortgaged its headquarters in Washington, D.C. to raise cash for off-year election spending. NOTUS: The Democratic National Committee put its physical headquarters up for collateral last year in order to obtain a $15 million line of credit to help invest in off-year elections, according to D.C. deed records not previously reported. The building, located in Southeast Washington and partially owned by the DNC, has been used as collateral in the past, including in other election cycles. That the DNC had to do so again ahead of the 2026 elections to obtain its biggest-ever off-year loan raised concerns among some members that it was further evidence of its intensifying financial strain. The DNC did not explicitly declare the building as its collateral in its monthly or loan-related filings to the Federal Election Commission. “Ken gaslighting us about the DNC’s finances and not being transparent about the financial situation makes us doubt if he can oversee the DNC during the most important primary of our lifetime,” said a DNC member, granted anonymity to discuss the issue candidly. ( NOTUS.) This is not the first time the DNC has borrowed against its assets to bulk up its war chest in election years, but it takes place as DNC Chair Ken Martin is campaigning to save his position after a disastrous election year in 2024 and amid very poor fundraising.

New Jersey Admits There Are Thousands of Illegal Voters on the Rolls
That thing that never happens keeps happening. Fox News: Democratic lawmakers told Fox News Digital they agree New Jersey’s voter registration error demands accountability but say it doesn’t justify claims of widespread election fraud. New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill on Tuesday said a “serious software error” led to the mistaken registration of roughly 6,600 noncitizens through the state’s Motor Vehicle System, while the company that provides the identity-related security services denied any wrongdoing. “In New Jersey, we absolutely need to have accountability for what happened,” Sen. Andy Kim, D-N.J., said. “It was just horrible. There was a big problem with that computer problem that they had. We need to try to address that going forward.” ( Fox News.) Governor Sherrill blamed the computer vendor for the errors; the vendor denied responsibility, saying it was the state’s. Some of us are left to wonder whether it was an “error” at all. But that would be too cynical, right? Off the Press: Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon told Newsmax on Thursday that the Justice Department is treating New Jersey’s noncitizen voting issue as a “very serious matter” after demanding records on about 6,600 noncitizens who were improperly registered to vote. Dhillon appeared on “Finnerty” after Gov. Mikie Sherrill, a Democrat, said her administration would not comply with the DOJ’s request for records, including information on roughly 400 noncitizens who cast ballots. ( Off the Press.)

Trump Pauses Iran Bombing Campaign After Military Recommendations
Both Axios and The New York Times have given complementary explanations for the sudden pause in the Iran bombing campaign. Axios: The top U.S. military commander in the Middle East, Adm. Brad Cooper, recommended stopping the bombing campaign around the Strait of Hormuz because it has reached the limit of its effectiveness, according to two sources with knowledge of his position. Why it matters: The recommendation by Cooper, the commander of the U.S. Military Central Command (CENTCOM), together with other advisers impacted President Trump’s decision on Friday to pause U.S. strikes against Iran, the sources said. It was an acknowledgement by both military and civilian advisers to the president that there are limits to what can be accomplished through military action, and specifically an air power campaign. ( Axios.) New York Times: President Trump has set aside, at least for now, plans to sharply escalate the American military assault against Iran, with particular concern that intensifying the war could dangerously drain the Pentagon’s already diminished stockpile of Patriot antimissile interceptors and other air defense munitions in the Middle East. The threat to interceptor stockpiles is one of many considerations that have made a return to major combat operations a hugely risky endeavor, administration officials say. Mr. Trump and his top aides are also uneasy about the prospect of a widening war in the Middle East, the alienation of key Gulf allies who are vulnerable to Iranian attack, a global economic crunch, and growing energy and refugee crises. The latest turn in Mr. Trump’s handling of the conflict with Iran came after a meeting on Friday with top advisers and senior members of his cabinet, according to two people briefed on the discussion. The private deliberations have focused on the Pentagon’s shrinking inventory of Patriot interceptors and other air defenses, the officials said, discussing operational matters on the condition of anonymity. Three U.S. soldiers in Jordan were killed last Friday when a ballistic missile slipped through American air defenses fending off a barrage of Iranian missiles and drones, a senior U.S. official said. Gen. Dan Caine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has cautioned privately that resuming major combat operations against Iran was doable but that it would dangerously deplete interceptors available to the military’s Central Command, which is responsible for operations in the Middle East, the officials said. Minnesota Handing Out Gender-Swapping Dolls to Four-Year-Olds
Some things you cannot make up. New York Post: They’re dolling up the trans agenda — and taxpayers are footing the bill. “First-of-their-kind” transgender dolls — complete with removable genitalia — will debut in some Minnesota classrooms this fall to kids as young as 4 years old. The paper dolls, with gender-neutral names like “Sam,” “Rory,” “Avery” and “Parker,” have removable internal and external genitals, along with more than 100 interchangeable pieces of clothing, accessories and hairstyles — like a trans Mr./Mrs. Potato Head. The goal is for kids to “learn about the different options that exist for who they can be,” according to a therapist at the University of Minnesota Medical School, which spent over half a decade developing the controversial project funded by lefty Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. The Medical School’s Institute for Sexual and Gender Health research over those six years included paying $20 to $60 for “trans and gender diverse” children and their parents to play with the dolls and “talk about gender and bodies” in groups. Hakeem Jeffries Pivots From ‘It Never Happens’ to ‘It’s a Minor Challenge’ That Illegal Aliens Vote
Democrats keep insisting that voter fraud and illegal alien voting never happen, yet cases keep popping up to refute that claim. Daily Caller: House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries pivoted to attacking President Donald Trump when confronted over a recent report that New Jersey has thousands of registered illegal alien voters on its rolls and that hundreds of them voted in elections. CNN’s Dana Bash pressed Jeffries on “one of the most significant disclosures of non-citizen registration” during “State of the Union” on Sunday. Democratic New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill disclosed the error last week, claiming the state discovered that a “serious software error” registered “roughly 6,600 [noncitizens]” as voters between June 2023 and June 2024. The governor’s office also claimed “fewer than 400” of the thousands of registered illegal aliens voted. She blamed the error on the administration of her immediate predecessor, Democratic New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, and said the illegal voter registrations are being removed. “Democrats have repeatedly said that non-citizen voting doesn’t happen. It happened. Is this a problem?” Bash asked Jeffries. “I think that I continue to have confidence in state and local authorities in making sure that there’s going to be a free and fair election in November,” he replied, “and, if modest or minor challenges emerge, such as the one that was disclosed voluntarily by the authorities in New Jersey, that it is immediately corrected. And that’s what I expect will continue to happen.” ( Daily Caller.)

Tucker Carlson Calls For Treason Trial for President Trump
Tucker Carlson wants Trump executed? He didn’t quite say that, but the Constitution does specify execution as the punishment for the ultimate crime against your country. Matt Margolis: Carlson’s rhetoric went from conspiratorial to unhinged. He called the defense-technology partnership a “generational disaster” and framed it as proof Americans no longer control their own country. “It’s the definition of treason,” Carlson said. “This is treason. This is acting against your own nation, on behalf of a foreign nation.” Then came the real bombshell. Carlson wants President Donald Trump and the Republicans who support the NDAA provision put on trial for it. “The idea that the Republican Party would support merging U.S. and Israeli intelligence, IDF and Pentagon is so deranged that you have to root for treason trials, for Nurnberg trials at some point,” Carlson said. “And the president could veto it; he won’t because he’s a slave to Israel.” Let’s be honest here. Comparing a defense-cooperation bill to the crimes of Nazi Germany while demanding war-crimes-style tribunals against your own president isn’t principled dissent. This is full-on loony talk here. He sounds no different than the socialist candidates running for Congress nationwide… and, let’s be honest, some Democrats in Congress today. ( PJ Media.)

DSA Co-Chair Explains That It Will Abolish Borders, Defund the Pentagon, and Destroy Constitution
Well, if there is one thing you can say about the Democratic Socialists of America, it’s that they are not afraid to be ambitious. Most parties talk about more mundane issues than eliminating the United States of America altogether. Fox News: A top Democratic socialist leader on Sunday embraced abolishing the Senate, national borders, prisons and more, laying bare the movement’s sweeping agenda as ideological divisions within the Democratic Party continue to deepen. Speaking to Fox News’ Shannon Bream, Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) national co-chair Megan Romer fired off a series of “yes” and “true” responses when asked whether the organization’s platform calls for dismantling major American institutions. “[You’re advocating for] abolish[ing] the Senate?” Bream asked. “True,” Romer responded. Romer also affirmed the organization’s support for replacing the presidency and Supreme Court, abolishing ICE, eventually eliminating national borders while granting amnesty to people living in the country illegally, defunding the Pentagon, phasing out prisons and shifting most large corporations to public ownership. She said some proposals, including abolishing borders and prisons, are part of the organization’s long-term vision. ( Fox News.) One wonders if they hope to tax everybody in the world after the border is abolished.

Bernie Sanders: ‘No Regrets’ About Endorsing Platner, Dismisses Vetting Candidates
Bernie Sanders dismissed concerns about the lack of vetting given to Platner and other socialist candidates, saying he focuses on the policy proposals they put forth. New York Post: Sen. Bernie Sanders insisted that he has no regrets about his initial stance standing by disgraced oyster farmer Graham Platner despite an avalanche of warning signs. Sanders (I-Vt.) had been among Platner’s earliest backers, catapulting him to prominence with his endorsement shortly after the oyster farmer jumped in the race for Maine’s Senate seat. “No, I don’t think so,” Sanders told CBS News’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday when asked about whether he had regrets for not abandoning Platner sooner. The self-described democratic socialist had stuck with Platner during a string of scandals, defending him after revelations emerged that he made unsavory social media posts, cheated on his wife, got a tattoo of a Nazi symbol — and even when several women accused him of sexual misconduct. When pressed about those scandals, Sanders often pointed to the outside money being spent against Platner and framed him as a champion of the working class. … When pressed by CBS anchor Margaret Brennan on whether his endorsements, including Jackson and Michigan Senate hopeful Abdul El-Sayed, were properly vetted, the Vermont Independent admitted they might not be. “There are hundreds of candidates. I don’t know who has been ‘fully vetted,’” Sanders replied. “The candidates that we are supporting are standing up for the working class of this country,” he continued. “I and other progressives … are generating enormous grassroots excitement and enthusiasm.” ( New York Post.)

Rochester, MN Woman Convicted of Insulting Somali Rapist Whose Charges Were Dropped
You have probably heard of the Rochester, MN incident in which a white woman called a Somali man the N-word after he chased her down to complain that she had retrieved a stolen toy. She was just convicted of disorderly conduct for uttering the slur. What few people know is that the man she insulted challenged her to use the word, and that he was a very bad man indeed. Daniel Concannon: Let’s take a walk through the “American justice system,” shall we? Sharmake Omar is the Somali man who filmed Shiloh Hendrix on the playground in Minnesota that day in April 2025. In January 2022, he and another Somali man “allegedly” spent two days raping an underage foster care runaway in a trailer, keeping her falsely imprisoned. In March 2025, all charges were dismissed “in the interest of justice.” Weeks later, in April 2025, he turned his camera phone on at the playground after a young Somali thief attempted to steal from a White mom, Shiloh Hendrix, and began haranguing that White mom for having said the word “nigger.” Omar demanded that Hendrix repeat the word on camera, which she did – four times, while Omar himself said the word five times in the less-than-one-minute video. Four long months later, multiple “disorderly conduct” charges were maliciously brought against Shiloh Hendrix for the playground incident in which she was the only victim, and Sharmake Omar was the videographer. Then, last night, Shiloh Hendrix was CONVICTED – specifically for saying “nigger” to Sharmake Omar AFTER he demanded she say it, while he himself said it repeatedly. Her sentence is a $1,000 fine and 200 hours of community service. By the way, Sharmake Omar WAS NEVER CALLED TO TESTIFY in the Hendrix trial. But don’t worry, that’s not all the justice we have in store for today. Just keep the substance of Shiloh’s “crime” – as well as her sentence – in mind as we move forward. Rewind to April 2020. That’s when Sharmake Omar, our favorite Somali videographer, along with another Somali friend of his (separate from his alleged co-raper), committed a violent assault in the street. Omar threw a rock at a car, then attacked and beat the 16-year-old driver. A bystander tried to intervene, but Omar’s accomplice threatened him with a knife. For this, Sharmake Omar was charged merely with DISORDERLY CONDUCT. Yes, for hurling a deadly weapon at a vehicle, then beating the teenage driver while his criminal pal held off onlookers at knifepoint, Omar faced the EXACT SAME CHARGE that Shiloh Hendrix faced for saying a word that Omar asked her to say, as she held her child in her arms and fled the playground before Omar could assault her, too. Like Shiloh Hendrix, Sharmake Omar was convicted on his count of disorderly conduct. His sentence? A $200 fine. That’s it. That’s the entire thing. ( X.) More on the case from ( David Strom.)
