It's about more than numbers...

(but the numbers are good)

As you follow the work we do here at mySociety, we hope you’ll be pleased to see that, in 2026:

we empowered millions of people to transform communities
we equipped thousands of activists to make real change
we helped ensure authorities operate with accountability

... and that’s not all.

We’ve been crunching the numbers, and this year we’ve:

enabled 82,204 people to engage with political issues
released 154,496 previously hidden government documents
equipped 3,000+ organisations across the globe
facilitated 577,258 neighbourhood issues to be reported and fixed
empowered the public to follow the money behind politics
resourced 76% of UK councils to tackle the climate emergency
prototyped the UK’s first Violence Against Women Data Hub
supported 80,015 people to contact their representatives. 43% were writing to a politician for the first time — and 10,800 messages were from people living in the most deprived areas of the UK

And overall, there have been 39 million sessions across our websites — 39 million moments of civic action.

But, like we say...

...those are just numbers, and they don't tell you everything.
