JanePAC Organizing Team here. These days it’s hard to miss the headlines about record-breaking amounts of outside money pouring into races across the country. From hotly contested congressional seats to local utility boards, some of the fundraising totals are truly staggering.

With so much cash flowing into our political system, it can seem like ordinary people can’t have an impact on the outcome of the races that impact them most. The truth is anyone can have an impact, without writing huge checks for candidates, just by showing up (in person or virtually) to volunteer their time.

Over the last year, JanePAC volunteers have helped deliver real victories for candidates and communities across the country.

Our phonebankers made thousands of calls to help flip the Salt River Project Board and secure primary victories for climate champions like Lauren Kuby in Arizona and Randy Villegas in California, proving that conversations between neighbors still win elections.

Our volunteer texters helped mobilize voters in Brooke St. Claire’s City Council race and played a critical role in securing enough petition signatures to put the Michiganders for Money Out of Politics initiative on the ballot.

Our canvassers have knocked doors in critical races in Colorado, helping elect leaders who are ready to stand up to polluters and fight the reckless expansion of data centers and other corporate polluters like Suncor.

Those victories didn’t happen by accident.

They happened because people decided to spend a few hours making calls, sending texts, knocking doors, and talking with voters about the issues that matter most to them.

Now we need to grow our team. JanePAC is endorsing even more climate champions in races all across the country, and we’re looking for new volunteers to join this winning team to help call, knock, text, and more!
