The fight is not over.

The 2027 National Defense Authorization Act is “must-pass” legislation which Congress must deal with before the end of the year.

As we warned you recently, this year’s version of the bill contains a very dangerous Section 219.

Section 219 would establish a United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative.

It would require the defense secretary to appoint an official responsible for coordinating joint research, testing, weapons development, technology integration, and industrial cooperation between the USA and Israel.

The initiative would cover areas including missile defense, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, cybersecurity, quantum technology, electronic warfare and weapons co-production.

In short, Section 219 creates a unique bond
between a foreign military and our own.

And make no mistake, this is a coordination that goes deep into our military infrastructure and with an “ally” who has a long history of spying on our country.

Rep. Thomas Massie tried to introduce an amendment to the NDAA, stripping Section 219 from the bill.

House leadership didn’t even allow a vote.

In the end, the NDAA narrowly passed the House last week, and so it’s now in the Senate.

But because the House attached the SAVE Act to the NDAA after the fact, it’s likely the Senate won’t even consider the House version.

It’s one of the dirty parts of government and politics.
The Senate will more than likely move their own NDAA forward in the coming weeks and months.

They’ll strip out what they don’t like and even add in their own unrelated sections.

But what is expected to remain is a version of Section 219 that links so much of the Pentagon’s operations to that of a foreign country.

Over 200 years ago, Thomas Jefferson warned about entangling alliances.

This is one of the most egregious entanglements in our country’s history.

The House is gone until after Labor Day. The Senate will soon go into recess as well.

You and I have a little time to prepare for the next round of the NDAA battle . . . but not much.
