We have an alarming update from a key state with a real chance to flip a red U.S. Senate seat this November. 

For the first time in Louisiana’s 214 year history, Republicans just took the voter registration lead from Democrats:

We won’t mince words—this is a significant blow. Democrats have a real chance to flip the U.S. Senate this year, but they need as many viable paths as possible to get there. Louisiana is one of those paths, where Democrat Jamie Davis is taking on Trump backed Julie Letlow this fall.

Jamie Davis is running a historic campaign. He is the first black U.S. Senate candidate to make it to the general election in Louisiana in over a century. He swept the Democratic primary with over 80% of the vote just weeks ago.

Davis has real momentum and it’s raising eyebrows. Legendary Democratic strategist James Carville has said he believes Democrats have a real “fighting chance” to win this race. 

But after losing the voter registration lead, the math just got even harder for Louisiana Democrats. 

That’s why the Louisiana Democratic Party is taking emergency counter measures. We just launched our No More Silence - Roll to the Polls Tour which will see us visit 14 cities across 7 regions with a goal to register 50,000 new voters, recruit No Party voters, and make sure every voter in Louisiana knows how, when, and where to cast a ballot.

Our first stops in Shreveport and Monroe this past weekend were roaring successes. Louisianans are fired up and showing up—packing rooms, registering to vote, and making plans to get to the polls. The tour is grabbing headlines across the state. 

But an operation like this doesn't come cheap, we need your help to keep the show on the road, rebuild our voter registration lead, and flip the Senate blue.
